Uly was welcomed by the sea at just three years old, when he first encountered dogfish sharks — an experience that ignited a lifelong passion for the ocean and its incredible creatures. Since that first moment, the water has been both his classroom and his inspiration.

Devoted to preserving and protecting all forms of life, with a special emphasis on marine ecosystems, Uly founded MOLA at age 16 to connect with other young ocean advocates. Through MOLA, he hopes to inspire his peers to share his respect for the sea and take part in meaningful conservation efforts.

Homeschooled and driven by curiosity, Uly balances his time between competitive swimming, creative building projects, and exploring the coastline — whether sifting through sand or studying tidal pools. His enthusiasm and humor bring new perspectives to marine life studies and plenty of joy to everyone around him.
